Coronation Street confirms killer exit as icon is attacked in new spoilers
.
Coronation Street are lining up a huge week for Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) as she looks set to uncover the truth behind fiancé Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) scheming ways.
The ITV soap is also gearing up for further heartbreak, as Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) is forced to keep his distance from Toyah Habeeb (Georgia Taylor) after she learns David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) knows about their affair.
Alina Pop’s (Ruxandra Porojnicu) court date is fast approaching, and Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) is worrying about her presence in Weatherfield – but Alina’s run in with a thug could soon put an end to those concerns!
Elsewhere, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) is hauled in for questioning by DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), and cult leader Rowan Cunliffe (Emrhys Cooper) continues to pray on Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney).
Here’s Metro.co.uk’s guide to what’s coming up in Coronation Street next week…
Monday, August 19
Desperate for answers following Emily’s (Ellena Vincent) warning, Dee-Dee uses a search engine to find the jewellers where Joel pretended to buy a bracelet for Maeve from. As she looks at other items worth £300, she’s taken aback by a shocking discovery…
Later, she heads to Weathy General to visit Lauren (Cait Fitton) and baby Frankie and is confused to hear that they’ll soon be moving to Belfast – the same place which flagged on Joel’s laptop.
Masking her shock, she points out the odd coincidence to scheming Joel, but he gives nothing away. Dee-Dee is determined to get the truth.
Down at No. 9, Ruby (Billie Naylor) is on cloud nine with her new brother and makes a huge fuss, whilst Hope (Isabella Flanagan) wants nothing to do with Dorin.
When Alina begins to receive intimidating phone calls, she assumes that it’s the traffickers targeting her… but Tyrone (Alan Halsall) reckons Hope could be behind it. She’s quick to deny it and is furious that her dad would suggest such a thing.
Elsewhere, Toyah learns that David knows about her affair with Nick, and is mortified. After an apology, Nick promises to keep his distance.
Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) can’t believe that Ryan (Ryan Connor) wants to spend time with Kit (Jacob Roberts) instead of her, and Cassie (Claire Sweeney) thinks its suspicious that Tracy (Kate Ford) is boasting about her fabulous new life in Spain. If it was so good, why is she back in Weatherfield?
Wednesday, August 21
Dee-Dee is left stunned by Joel’s audacity, and continues to demand the truth from him. What will she learn?
Furious Fiz lashes out at Tyrone when he admits that the ‘large bill’ he had to pay for was actually to pay for a consultation with Adam (Sam Robertson) over the custody of Dorin.
When he reveals that he’d like his son and Alina to move back to Weatherfield, Fiz is thrown.
Elsewhere, an interview for a new job leaves Fiz and Kirk (Andy Whyment) wondering why Beth (Lisa George) jacked in her Underworld position in the first place, whilst Toyah heads to the hospital with Nick to hear some news.
Friday, August 23
At No. 9, Fiz worries that old emotions will resurface between Tyrone and Alina if they begin to spend more time together. When she arrives at the house with Dorin ahead of her court appearance, Alina explains her fears that she’s being watched.
Back at the Chariot Square Hotel, a thug bursts into her room and threatens her against giving evidence.
Will Alina be ok?
At the police station, DS Swain has hauled Sarah in for questioning and demands to know whether she planted Lauren’s DNA in Nathan’s (Christopher Harper) van. Denying the accusations, she urges Daniel (Rob Mallard) to persuade Bethany (Lucy Fallon) to drop the campaign against her abuser.
He’s quick to talk to Daisy about his distrust in Kit, and tells her that something is wrong about Nathan’s conviction.
Dee-Dee summons Emily to the solicitors, and braces herself for a tough conversation.
Elsewhere, dodgy Rowan tries to convince Amy that it isn’t too late to change her mind on investing grandma Deirdre’s money in the resource centre. After being left to run the Bistro alone, she’s given food for thought and tells Nick she’s quitting – that she should’ve listened to Rowan – and arranges an upload session.
Craig (Colson Smith) is reluctant to give Beth another chance, and Kirk is still in the dark as to why she left Underworld. Will she come clean?
