Whilst the characters did not get killed whilst practising at work, it was being a mechanic, and specifically at Webster’s Auto Centre, that almost cemented certain death.

One fan pointed out how being a mechanic on the ITV soap opera had a high chance in ending in a gory and grisly death.

They concluded how at least three mechanics from different generations had been murdered over the years.

It was pointed out how Brian Tilsley, Tommy Harris and Luke Britton all found themselves dead either during or shortly after working at the garage.

First to die was Brian, played by actor Christopher Quinten, who was stabbed to death outside a nightclub in 1989.

Already having a bad night, Brian headed out to a nightclub after wife gail told him that their marriage was over for good and hthere was no hope for the couple.

Whilst on his night out, Brian attempted to defend a woman from a group of thugs who ended up attacking and knifing him to death.

Before his death, Brian had a spell running the garage and even renamed it Tilsley’s Garage.

It was after his death that the garage was passed onto Kevin Webster with him having worked alongside Brian as a hired hand in the late 1980s.

Tommy Harris was another popular Cobbles resident who was a mechanic during his three year spell on the show between 2002 and 2005.

Over the three years, Tommy found himself embroiled in a slew of family feuds which ended up resulting in his death.

Unhappy about his daughter, Katy’s, choice of boyfriend, Martin Platt, cracks in their relationship began to appear and when Tommy started spreading lies that Martin was having an affair with Sally Webster, all hell broke loose.

With most of the family believing it to be true, Katy aborted her baby with Martin and was later left reeling to discover that he hadn’t had an affair.

Martin dumped Katy amid the revelations, a move which Tommy took great joy in and led to her lashing out at Tommy as he continually called Martin a slew of different insulting names.

Grabbing a wrench, she ploughed it into his head, leaving him dead instantly.

Elsewhere, hunky mechanic Luke, played by Dean Fagan, became the latest to fall victim to the garage’s curse.

Having worked for Kevin for a few years, Luke became a target of the evil Pat Phelan during his reign of terror.

With his sister Steph’s boyfriend missing, Luke decided to investigate into his disappearance unaware that Phelan had kept him captive and later killed him.

Eventually nearing the truth, Phelan decided to take matters into his own hands and ended up shooting at Luke’s car during a harrowing car chase.

Eventually, he caused an epic vehicle explosion which led to the mechanic’s instant death.
