ITV Coronation Street star teases massive ‘shock’ in Lauren storyline as romance ‘sealed’
Coronation Street's Lauren Bolton is currently taking centre-stage on the ITV soap, with there set to be a 'shock' in store for her closest pals amid a possible romance
Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton will leave her closest pals “shocked” after her big secret comes to light.
One character in particular will be gobsmacked over a major discovery about Lauren, ahead of the identity of her mystery ex-boyfriend being revealed. The cast have also hinted their could be a reunion for Lauren and a former flame, after things heated up with newcomer Bobby recently.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at the TV Choice Awards, Max Turner actor Paddy Bever spilled all on his character’s “shock” in the fallout to Max finding out about Lauren’s O-Vidz account. He’s left fearing for his “vulnerable” pal and former flame, after learning about the videos she’s posted on the adult content website.
Paddy also addressed whether a reunion could be on the cards for the pair after things didn’t work out the first time around. Max is yet to find out who her mystery ex is though, amid the unknown character harassing the teen.
Paddy told us: “It’s a shock for Max, he’s not happy about it. He’s worried about his dear friend who he has been through a very, very difficult situation with, a very dangerous situation with. He’s seen her in vulnerable places and had little glimpses of this side to Lauren before, and there’s things she may be more vulnerable to like the situation with Roy [Cropper].
“So he’s had little glimpses but I think this is a real slap in the face of reality, he is seeing someone he really cares about in a situation which is out of his control. We know how much he worries about those people he loves, he’s fiercely protective. She’s vulnerable, it’s a shock.”
On whether a reunion could be on the cards for the teens, he said: “You never know. I think for Max, Lauren is his first love and I think it’s mutual. They were each other’s first love, and so there is always gonna be a connection. Right now I’d say they are really good as friends, and I am enjoying their friendship.”
