Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon celebrates milestone with TV icon husband
Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon shared the sweetest message to celebrate her wedding anniversary.
The Maria Connor actress, 42, is married to Sylvain Longchambon, who is best known for being a pro-skater on ITV’s Dancing on Ice.
The couple met in 2013 on the skating show and tied the knot back in 2016. Samia has two children – Freya, who she shares with her ex-husband Matt Smith, and Yves Joseph, who is Sylvain’s son.
The actress updated her Instagram page recently, sharing pictures of her and Sylvain’s wedding celebrating their 8th wedding anniversary.
‘8 years as Mr and Mrs Longchambon and 8 years of pronouncing and spelling ‘Longchambon,’ she penned.
‘There’s nobody I’d rather do this life with other than you @slongchambon .. Happy anniversary to us!’
Life for Maria so far this year has been traumatic. Her young son Liam (Charlie Wrenshall) was relentlessly bullied by Mason (Luca Toolan) and his gang and things got so bad, he started to google ways he could end his life.
Thankfully, Liam was found in time by Maria and Gary (Mikey North) before anything happened. He was able to get help for his mental health and with time, started to open up about the horrific ordeal Mason put him through.
After it transpired that Mason had threatened Liam with a knife, he was arrested and charged, before being found guilty of the crime in court.
Because this wasn’t his first offence, the judge had no choice but to give him a custodial sentence.
