Coronation Street Kit’s sickening plan for Craig ‘revealed’ ahead of devastating exit
Coronation Street may have revealed Kit Green’s twisted plan for Craig Tinker, ahead of him blackmailing his mother Beth Tinker on the ITV soap.
The newcomer was seen sharing concerns over a cover-up that he thought might impact his police career if the truth came out. As Craig encouraged him to open up and told him he was a good detective, Kit commented that what he’d done was serious and that he shouldn’t be in the force.
Craig hit back at this claim saying he was what the force needed, before suggesting he too had covered up something serious in the past. While he didn’t appear to say specifically what it was, it seems he told Kit or was about to tell Kit how he covered up the truth about the death of a man named Ted.
Viewers will recall Craig covered up the fact his ex Faye Windass accidentally caused Ted’s death a few years ago, with Craig concealing this to protect her. On Monday night, Craig alluded to the fact he covered up a serious crime to protect a loved one, believing Kit had done the same.

But viewers watching at home believed Kit was cruelly tricking Craig into confessing, hoping to get some dirt on him. Craig’s mother Beth had caught out Kit, spotting him working with a man named Sid who was selling counterfeit t-shirts that Beth had designed.
Beth accused Kit of being a bent copper, claiming to have rumbled he wasn’t the good guy he’d claimed to be. With Kit’s career possibly at risk, it seems in upcoming episodes he will blackmail Beth and threaten her to leave the cobbles for good.
As Kit spoke with Craig in the latest episode, fans feared he was using Craig to find out something he could use against him and Beth. Taking to X, one fan posted: “Kit trying to get dirt on Craig, to get even with Beth?”
Another agreed: “Yeah, that’s what I thought,” as a third said: “So Kit is playing insecure copper with Craig & he’ll go on to play hardball with Beth I bet! Idiots.” A further comment read: “Kit is manipulating Craig again.”
