Poor Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) was feeling isolated in Coronation Street tonight.
The beloved character is in a relationship with Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) and for a while, things were progressing nicely for them.
In tonight’s episode though, Ryan started to realise Daisy viewed their relationship entirely different to him.
When topic of conversation turned to them moving in together, Daisy seemed quite hesitant. Instead of talking about their future, Daisy was very focused on a lost teddy bear belonging to Bertie, Daniel’s (Rob Mallard) son.
Ryan’s frustration and a comment from his auntie Carla (Alison King) eventually prompted him to sit Daisy down for an important chat.
Ryan ultimately said that he deserved more than Daisy, someone who clearly still has a lot of feelings for Daniel.
The two characters have been bonded for life after being involved in an acid attack but while their relationship worked, it wasn’t as successful as they had hoped.
Daisy told Ryan not to break up with her, but he had made his choice. He kissed Daisy on the cheek and walked away, leaving her in tears.
Back at the flat, Ryan updated Carla, who reiterated that her nephew could find someone better than Daisy.
An upsetting end to what promised to be a strong relationship – what’s next for Daisy and Ryan?
