Coronation Street viewers were sent into meltdown on Monday evening after a charged scene between Carla Connor and DS Lisa Swain in which the two women almost kissed
Coronation Street fans were left gobsmacked after a near-kiss between DS Lisa Swain (Victoria Myers) and Carla Connor (Alison King) had fans on the edge of their seats.
In the episode aired on Monday (October 7), Carla’s already rough day took another hit when Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) blabbed to a key client about her court appearance for ABH, and Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) let slip that Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) was off in Turkey.
At the courthouse, Carla bumped into Tom, the father of the boy she accidentally hit with her car. Meanwhile, back at the factory, Carla’s temper flared at Betsy and Sally, oblivious to the fact that Tom had tailed her from the court and was spying on her during a delivery.
The situation escalated when Tom confronted a shocked Carla, his anger palpable, putting her in a precarious position.
But it was DS Swain who turned hero, checking in on Carla at her flat after the rescue. Sparks flew as Carla reached out and tenderly touched Lisa’s face, leaving herself bewildered by her own feelings but did DS Swain feel the spark too?

In upcoming Coronation Street episodes, it’s been teased that Carla will treat Betsy to a coffee in the cafe and give her the good news that she’s rehired, much to Betsy’s joy. Carla is also set to hint at a heart-to-heart with Lisa, but how will it work out?
