Stu Carpenter makes a decision about his future in Coronation Street ahead of Bill Fellows’ exit from the ITV soap.

The actor signed a three year contract and decided early on that leaving at the end of it was what he wanted to do.

Stu made his arrival in 2021. He was living as a homeless man after spending the best part of 30 years in prison for a murder he didn’t commit.

The character was welcomed into the Weatherfield community after playing a huge part in the downfall of Corey Brent. After securing a job as a chef at Speed Daal, Stu then started a relationship with Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King).

In recent weeks, Stu has become somewhat of a mentor to Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan). The troublesome teenager is struggling to adapt to life on the cobbles after time in prison and because Stu knows exactly what that’s like, he’s decided to help.

At the end of this week, Stu comes across Logan, Mason’s brother.

When he later returns with Yasmeen, they are horrified to find someone has thrown a brick through their window. Stu immediately tells Yasmeen that he reckons Logan is responsible because he was trying to force Mason to take part in a robbery.

Next week, Stu faces trouble with Yasmeen and is angry when Mason reveals that the special worker has found him somewhere to live.

Feeling at a loss, Stu tells Yasmeen that he’s thinking about moving to Germany so he can be with his granddaughter Eliza and her dad Dom.

But how will Yasmeen react?
