Coronation Street legend returns to make tough decision leading to health emergency

Ken Barlow (William Roache) is forced to make some tough decisions when he makes his return to Coronation Street, with Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) hit with her marching orders.

But when he then does a u-turn, Steve (Simon Gregson) and Tracy (Kate Ford), order Cassie to back off and stop taking a lend.

Ken then ending up in hospital changes things again – but how serious is it?

Speaking of serious situations, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) will be left fearing the worst when Mason’s brothers target Tim (Joe Duttine).

With them intent on teaching him a violent lesson, how far will they go?

And finally, there are significant updates for those closely following the blossoming love story between Carla Connor (Alison King) and DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

Monday November 18

Dee-Dee wakes up from a nightmare. As she meets with a new client, she hurries out before suffering a meltdown. Kit does his best to calm her down before Dee-Dee confides some shocking news in Sarah.

Shona checks her junk mail and is shocked to see an email from Clayton’s prison.

When Mason’s brothers are released without charge, Betsy advises Mason to lie and tell them it was Tim who grassed them up to the police. Betsy flirts with Mason, but the mood is broken when Matty pulls up in his car.

Ken returns from his holiday and tells the Barlows that having looked at his finances, he’s going to have to let Cassie go.

The family’s relieved as Ken thanks Cassie but explains that he no longer requires her services.

Wednesday November 20

Shona tells David that Clayton has regained consciousness but refused to see her. David hides his relief.

Sally and Tim find the word ‘Grass’ sprayed across their front door. Tim assures her that he’s reported Mason’s brothers to the police. When they spot Logan getting into Tim’s cab, Mason and Betsy warn Eileen that Tim’s in danger.

Logan orders Tim to park up, where Matty climbs in, making it clear they’re going to teach him a lesson.

Feeling unwell, Ken tells Cassie he’ll pay her an extra pound an hour if she’ll accept her job back.

Flanked by Adam and Steve, Tracy orders Cassie to sling her hook and stop sponging off Ken, adamant she’ll look after him but when Ken suffers a nosebleed and admits he feels awful, they head to hospital.

When Betsy announces she’s going to Becky’s grave as it’s her birthday, Lisa feels terrible having forgotten. Carla finds Lisa drowning her sorrows in the pub.

Friday November 22

Lisa wakes up on Carla’s sofa with a hangover. When Carla admits to Ryan that she has feelings for Lisa but she’s out of depth, he urges her to go for it.

Carla returns home to find Lisa getting dressed, will she make her move?

Logan and Matty corner Betsy and steal her phone. Lisa is horrified to see she’s missed a message from Betsy saying she’s in trouble.

Steve spells out to Cassie that she’s sacked.

In the bistro office, Nick and Toyah hear Leanne and quickly get dressed. Are they about to be caught in the act?
