All Coronation Street spoilers for next week as Brody confronts Kit and a familiar face returns
The aftermath of Craig Tinker’s (Colson Smith) brutal attack looms in Coronation Street next week, as the traumatised residents come to terms with everything that’s happened.
With Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) in a cell awaiting trial for his vicious attack on Craig, he sends word to son Brody (Ryan Mulvey) that he was fitted up by Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) – sending a confused Brody on a collision course with the man himself.
Elsewhere, as the street holds a send-off for Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh), the wake is rocked by the unexpected return of Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas).
Meanwhile, the sudden arrival of Ronnie Bailey’s (Vinta Morgan) old flame sends Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) spinning, while Carl (Jonathan Howard) senses an opportunity.
But what is Carl playing at?
Here’s a look at everything that’s happening in Weatherfield next week…
Monday, May 26
Brody gets a message from his dad, telling him that he’s innocent, and was framed by Kit. Fuming at what he’s learned, he heads over to Kit’s flat, and begins smashing up the place.
When Kit returns home, he finds Brody trashing the place. Brody tells him that he’s spoken to his dad, who claims to have been stitched up by the police.
Kit tries to make see sense, explaining how Mick is a violent man. Seeing red, Brody charges at him, sending Kit crashing into a wall. Brody flees as Sarah (Tina O’Brien) and Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) arrive, his face covered.
Debbie is miffed when Ronnie introduces her to Fiona, an old flame. She acts as though she’s not bothered, but puts on a show of having a new boyfriend in front of Ronnie.
Carl then tells Ronnie that Debbie wants nothing to do with him, and that he’s barred from the hotel. Furious, Ronnie squares up to Carl.
Elsewhere, Eileen (Sue Cleaver) tells George (Tony Maudsley) and Brian (Peter Gunn) that the painkillers found in Julie’s system were prescribed for her, not Julie. When Brian makes an innocuous remark, Eileen snaps, banning him from the funeral – leaving George feeling awkward as he tries to comfort Eileen.
Meanwhile, Carla (Alison King) asks Lisa (Vicky Myers) if she meant what she said about their future together.

Kit learns that Bernie has given Brody an alibi. Kit demands answers, and tells her that she needs to say that she was mistaken – or else he’ll charge her with perverting the course of justice.
After Bernie reminds Kit that Brody may be his son, Kit comes clean to Sarah that he slept with Lou and may be Brody’s father.
Later, he tells Brody that he’ll withdraw the burglary charge if he changes his ways.
Afterwards, Brody goes to see Bernie and demands to know why she gave him a false alibi. Will she tell the truth?
Meanwhile, in his prison cell, Mick has just suffered a terrible beating.
Fiona tells Ronnie that she wants him to help her sell on a stolen car. He shows the car to a potential buyer, giving his best sales pitch.
However, when the customer reveals that his wife recently died, Ronnie backs off – refusing to sell the car.
Afterwards, as Ronnie fills Fiona in, Carl climbs into the car next to him, and demands answers.
At the salon, Maria (Samia Longchambon) tells Lou (Farrel Hegarty) that she’s fired. Storming out, she bumps into Gary (Mikey North) and tells him that she’s sorry Mick beat him up – but acknowledges she’s had plenty herself during their marriage.
Feeling sorry for her, Gary buys Lou a drink in The Rovers. How will Maria react when she finds them together?
Meanwhile, a downbeat George tells Todd (Gareth Pierce) that he keeps inadvertently annoying Eileen all the time.
Having been stood up for lunch, Theo (James Cartwright) spies something on Todd’s phone, and grows troubled.

It’s the day of Julie’s funeral and, Eileen gives Brian a letter from Julie. He’s shocked to learn that she’s the only beneficiary in her life insurance – something she never mentioned until now.
Eileen reassures him that she knew nothing about it until after Julie had died, and grows furious when Tracy (Kate Ford) suggests she orchestrated Julie’s death for the money.
Fuming, Eileen takes out her frustration on George, blaming him from Julie’s funeral being ruined.
Later, in the pub, they play Julie’s ‘dream’ game – and George tells Eileen that his life’s dream is to marry her.
Just then, Jason enters, leaving his mum stunned… and George waiting for answers.
Kit confidently tells Sarah that he thinks Mick will plead guilty at his hearing today.
Meanwhile, Lou visits Mick at the prison and is shocked when she sees his injuries. Mick tells her that Kit organised the attack, and that if he doesn’t plead guilty, the next attack will be worse.
After the hearing, Lou returns home and tells Brody that his dad plead not guilty. Brody is delighted – but Lou can’t bring herself to tell him about the terrible price he has to pay.
Abi (Sally Carman) is annoyed when she learns that Kevin (Michael Le Vell) has given Carl a job at the garage. Meanwhile, in the empty garage, Carl takes delivery of a dodgy car from Fiona.
When Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) jokes with Liam (Charlie Wrenshall), Gary shoots him a glare. Liam is horrified to realise that Gary has told Ed about how Mick bullied him.
When a man named Noah enters the pub and waves to Billy (Daniel Brocklebank), Theo rushes off. Afterwards, Theo tells Todd that Noah was at his conversion therapy, leaving Todd disgusted.
