Amber Marshall’s Shocking New Hallmark Movie – Is Graham Wardle Really Back?
Amber Marshall’s Life Beyond Heartland: New Movies and Exciting Projects
It’s easy to associate Amber Marshall solely with her role as Amy Fleming on Heartland, especially after 17 seasons of the beloved series. For many fans, it’s hard to imagine her as anyone other than the compassionate horse trainer from Alberta. However, Amber’s career is much more dynamic than we might realize, and she keeps herself busy with exciting projects during her breaks from Heartland.
Between Seasons 16 and 17, Amber stepped into a new role for a Hallmark movie titled My Christmas Guide. This was an unexpected delight for fans eager to see her in a different setting, although rumors that her former Heartland co-star Graham Wardle would join her in the project turned out to be false.
Amber’s Christmas Movie: My Christmas Guide
In My Christmas Guide, Amber plays Payton, the founder of a dog training center called Best Friend Dog Guides. The center provides service dogs to people with special needs, and Payton’s character is as kind-hearted and selfless as one would expect from a Hallmark protagonist.
However, all is not smooth sailing for Payton. She’s engaged to a rude and unkind fiancé who ultimately cheats on her, as revealed in the movie’s trailer. Thankfully, Payton soon finds herself forming a meaningful connection with a new client, Trevor, a blind professor and single father to a young girl named Annie.
Trevor has lost his vision later in life, which causes him to feel pessimistic and disconnected from the world around him. When he faces difficulties navigating his work environment and even injures himself on campus, Payton steps in to help. She introduces Trevor to the idea of getting a guide dog, and it’s Annie who pushes her father to visit Payton’s center.
The movie revolves around Trevor’s transformation, aided by Payton’s unwavering kindness. As Payton helps Trevor regain his confidence and optimism, she also realizes her fiancé isn’t the right person for her. Predictably for a Hallmark film, the story has a heartwarming ending where Payton, Trevor, Annie, and their guide dog form a beautiful new family.
While fans might have wished to see Graham Wardle join Amber in this film, he has been focusing on his own projects, including writing poetry and hosting episodes of his podcast, Time Has Come.
Upcoming Movie with a Heartland Connection
Amber Marshall’s foray into other projects doesn’t end with My Christmas Guide. She is set to star in another movie called Elsie’s Magic, which promises to be just as enchanting. Based on a novel by Margaret Foster, the movie will feature Amber alongside another Heartland favorite, Kerry James, who plays Caleb in the series.
Excitingly, Elsie’s Magic will be directed by none other than Michelle Morgan, known for her role as Lou Fleming in Heartland. Michelle has already showcased her directing skills in several episodes of the series, including the memorable Season 17 episode where Caleb kisses Amy in a hotel room—a moment that stirred plenty of fan debate.
In Elsie’s Magic, Amber and Kerry will play a married couple, giving Heartland fans a unique opportunity to see their favorite actors in entirely new roles. Production for the movie is set to begin soon, and fans are eager to see how Amber and Michelle collaborate on this project.
Amber Marshall: A Multi-Talented Star
Amber Marshall’s ability to juggle her Heartland commitments with exciting new ventures proves her versatility as an actress. Whether she’s playing Amy Fleming, guiding a Hallmark love story, or preparing for a fantasy-inspired film, Amber’s passion and dedication shine through.
Her projects outside of Heartland not only showcase her range as an actress but also keep fans engaged during the show’s off-season. With Elsie’s Magic on the horizon and Michelle Morgan directing, it’s safe to say that Amber’s next chapter will be just as exciting as her journey on Heartland.
