Coronation Street confirms Griff and Roscoe’s cruel plan for Roy in death twist
Coronation Street has dropped a preview of the next episode which reveals villain Griff teams up with newcomer Roscoe to set a trap for Roy Cropper, amid fears he will be killed off
Coronation Street’s Roscoe will betray new pal Roy Cropper on Wednesday night, as his real intentions are exposed.
The newcomer teams up with Griff in prison amid a shocking plan to kill Roy. Roy could be killed off after decades on the soap, as scenes lead to a terrifying showdown in his cell.
A new preview clip for the episode airing on Wednesday night confirms Roscoe has formed a plan with Griff, and he’s been working on it for a while. It seems Roscoe has been lying to Roy all along, secretly working for Griff and plotting to help Griff get to him.
Despite playing chess with him and paying him visits, claiming to be on his side with no real motive, it seems Roscoe has, albeit unwillingly, been against Roy from the start. He tells Griff in a preview clip that he’s been trying to lure Roy to the canteen in the prison for ages, with it clear this was an order from Griff.
Griff clearly hoped to get Roy out of his cell and to the main area of the prison to kill him. But with Roy fearful amid him wrongly imprisoned for the murder of Lauren Bolton, he has not left his area meaning Griff has not bee able to reach him.
Griff is the pal of Lauren’s father, both men being part of a right-wing extremist group. With them both in prison, they have found out that Lauren is missing and has possibly been killed, with Roy blamed.
Griff now wants Roy dead, and has tasked Roscoe with getting close to Roy to lure him out of hiding. Wednesday’s show will see Griff threaten Roscoe as he’s unable to do this, with Griff threatening his family.
Roscoe tells Griff he will instead lure him to the library, something Roy gets suspicious about. As Roscoe asks what he plans to do to Roy, Griff makes it clear he has murder on his mind.
Spoilers have confirmed that Roscoe will manage to get Roy to go with him, leaving his cell empty and Griff takes his chance. As Roy returns from the library, he is threatened and attacked by Griff who has a weapon – but is this the end of the soap legend?
