Coronation Street confirms Joel Deering’s secret as he confesses everything
Dee-Dee is left with a major decision to make.
Coronation Street has officially confirmed what Joel Deering is hiding from his girlfriend Dee-Dee Bailey.
The solicitor comes clean with Dee-Dee next week after arousing suspicion with his shifty behaviour.
Last week, Joel was attending a work meeting with a client when they were interrupted by a mystery woman called Emily.
Emily appeared to be putting pressure on Joel for unknown reasons, as he assured her: “I told you I would sort this out and I will.”

Next week, Dee-Dee remains oblivious to Joel’s secrecy. However, when a receipt falls from Joel’s wallet after he has spent the night at her flat, Dee-Dee spots some surprising details.
The receipt is from a jeweller’s, has a December date listed and Joel apparently spent a lot of money in the shop.
By the time Joel catches up with Dee-Dee at the solicitor’s office, he finds his girlfriend discussing the receipt with Adam Barlow and Alya Nazir.
Joel makes the excuse that he bought himself some cufflinks at the jeweller’s, prompting Alya to tease him over his expensive tastes.
Shortly afterwards, Alya spots Joel in a car outside, being driven by a sullen-looking woman. She realises that Joel isn’t telling Dee-Dee the full story.

Later in the week, Alya gets her hands on some incriminating CCTV footage from the Bistro, which shows Joel and Emily together.
Dee-Dee finally confronts Joel, forcing him to admit that he has a wife, Emily, and a daughter, Maisie.
Joel explains the backstory, recalling how Emily kicked him out when she was pregnant as he was having an affair.
