Joel Deering ‘killed off’

Joel was finally caught out with evidence proving his crimes recently, leaving him facing prison. But spoilers for next week reveal the character goes missing, and soon it’s claimed he is likely to have died. After Dee-Dee Bailey receives a voice message from her evil ex fiancé, DS Swain warns that it could be a suicide note.

Locating Joel’s phone signal, Swain and colleague Kit Green track his last whereabouts and find his car parked on a bridge. They find a folded note on the dashboard, but what does it say?

It leaves the pair convinced Joel has died, and Swain breaks the news that they are now looking for Joel’s body. Later in the week Dee-Dee is convinced Joel is actually on the run and has faked his death, after making a discovery. After a run-in with Joel’s dad, Swain is forced to step in and tells Dee-Dee to accept Joel is dead – but has he really taken his own life?

Triple return

Spoilers for the ITV soap confirm one worried character makes a comeback amid a relative being feared dead. Meanwhile, a recent death leads to another past character heading back to the Cobbles, where they receive a frosty reception.

A third return could be on the horizon months on from a prison twist, as a villain makes contact. It all kicks off next week as Joel Deering goes missing amid him finally facing justice for his crimes.

Towards the end of the week, Joel’s father Gus makes a return to find out any updates about his missing son. Gus heads to the police station after learning his son is believed to have died, and he soon has a run-in with Joel’s ex Dee-Dee Bailey.

Elsewhere, the day of Paul Foreman’s funeral arrives weeks on from his heartbreaking death. On the day of the funeral, Paul’s estranged father Denny shows up at the church drunk.

Billy is horrified to find him at the church and orders him to behave and stay out of sight, but will he do as he’s told? Finally it’s hinted villain Damon Hay will make a comeback months on from him being sent to prison.

The character was set up, not excusing his many crimes. He and Sarah Platt ended things after their fling turned into romance, with Damon dumping her after his arrest.

But next week her ex Adam Barlow is stunned when Damon makes contact, leaving Sarah a voicemail message. But what does Damon want and why is he reaching out now?

But DS Swain realises there has to be more to it, with viewers seeing Carla left reeling over the mystery contents of the letter. Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out what has happened!

Fiz Brown’s health drama

It kicks off following recent drama between the couple over Tyrone’s son Dorin. Tyrone was furious with Fiz for allowing Alina to flee with Dorin, with Tyrone hoping to keep them both in Weatherfield so he could see his son.

There’s more drama ahead too as Fiz’s teenaged daughter Hope is caught with a vape, leaving them worried about what she may be up to. But Fiz is left really worried something may be wrong when she experiences dizziness at work.

Concerned for her health she books an appointment with a doctor to get to the bottom of it. Later in the week Tyrone tells the girls that their mum isn’t feeling well, with it clear he is worried about his wife.

But his worry for Fiz is pushed aside when he finds a vape in Hope’s pencil case. It’s not yet clear what is going on with Fiz or if this is the start of a new storyline for the character.
