Coronation Street ‘confirms’ Kit Green’s next sick move in heartbreaking twist
Coronation Street fans are convinced they've rumbled Kit Green's next move on the cobbles - and it's not looking good for Billy Mayhew as the bent copper "strikes again"
Coronation Street has hinted at a chilling new plot for Kit Green, and it spells trouble for Billy Mayhew.
The corrupt copper, portrayed by Jacob Roberts, made his debut on the cobbles this year as Bernie’s (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost son.
Soap icon Bernie had given up Christopher ‘Kit’ Green for adoption nearly three decades ago. A few months back, she finally found him.
Meanwhile, Bernie’s twins Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash) were shocked to discover they had another sibling.
Moreover, Kit played a role in getting Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper), a vile character, jailed for the murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). Kit planted Lauren’s DNA in paedophile Nathan’s van, setting him up.
Since then, Kit has become a regular face on the cobbles, causing plenty of upheaval. Not only did he force soap legend Beth Tinker (Lisa George) to leave the street, but he also contributed to the split between Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) and Daisy (Charlotte Jordan), reports the Liverpool Echo.
However, viewers have now ‘figured out’ Kit’s next scheme on the street. This week on the soap, his brother Paul’s funeral took place after his fight with MND.
Before attending, Kit was met by colleague DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers). She informed him that his fellow officers had collected some money for Kit to donate to an MND charity. Kit was delighted to see the envelope of cash before tucking it into his jacket.
Corrie viewers are on high alert after a suspicious scene involving an envelope stuffed with cash. The loot seemed to vanish into thin air, and armchair detectives have been flooding social media with their sleuthing.
On a dedicated Corrie fan page, one eagle-eyed viewer pointed out: “Kit never passed the money.” Another chimed in agreeing, posting, “I thought this and it’s still going round my head!”
The conspiracy theories didn’t stop there, as a third added their voice saying, “He is a con man.” while another agreed, commenting, “He was never going to. He’s a bent cop.” Finally, someone else expressed distrust: “Don’t trust him there’s something dodgy about him.”
