Coronation Street confirms Lauren’s verdict as she fears for ill Frankie
Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) will face the result of her trial this week in Coronation Street.
The young mother was responsible for killing solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill) last year. The evil man manipulated and groomed Lauren at the start of 2024, and is also the father of her baby boy Frankie.
After Lauren killed Joel, she threw him over a bridge with help from Max (Paddy Bever). At first, he planned to take the fall for Lauren and go to prison in order to prevent Frankie losing both his mum and dad.
Max’s plan fell apart, however, when the likes of David (Jack P Shepherd) and Shona (Julia Goulding) learnt the truth.
Coming up, Roy (David Neilson) takes to the stand in court. He says that Lauren is a kind and caring person, but they’re interrupted when a lady called Brie jumps up and claims that Lauren attacked her in prison.
After assuring her barrister that she did no such thing, Laurel learns that Frankie isn’t well and has been taken to hospital. Upset that she’s stuck in court, an emotional Lauren tells the prosecution barrister during Max’s cross examination that she’s glad Joel is dead.
Lauren is allowed time at the hospital later in the week. There, she tells Max that Frankie has an infection. Certain she’s going to prison, a regretful Lauren confesses to Max that she doesn’t care about the trial, all that matters is Frankie getting better.
While Lauren keep vigil by Frankie’s hospital bed, the barristers deliver their final statements to the jury in court.
Eventually, Lauren is called back to court where the jury will deliver their verdict, but just what will it be?
Is this where she is sentenced to over 20 years behind bars?
