Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) learnt some utterly devastating news about Daisy Midgeley’s (Charlotte Jordan) baby in tonight’s episode of Coronation Street.
When Daisy discovered she had become pregnant, she knew the father could either be Daniel or Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) due to sleeping with them both in a short period of time.
As fans of the ITV soap know, Daisy recently found out that Kit is the father, but has gone along with the well-intentioned lie her stepmum Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) told Daniel that he is the dad.
In tonight’s episode, Daisy kept herself to herself and decided to head out for some retail therapy.
While she was gone, Daniel and Kit were talking about her pregnancy and decided to get an answer, once and for all, as to who the father is.
When Daisy got back, Daniel asked her outright, and she said he isn’t the dad.
Daisy panicked, grabbed her things and left the pub. Unfortunately, this happened at the same time David’s (Jack P Shepherd) plan to get hit by a car was moments away from beginning.
Just as Daisy passed him, she dropped a bag on the floor. When she picked it up, David realised what was happening and shoved her out of the way. Daisy fell to the floor, while David got hit by a drunk Andy driving the vehicle.
In the hospital, as medics tended to David, Daisy had a scan and discovered her baby was fine.
Daniel then returned to the pub and tried to speak to Kit about the revelation he’s going to become a father. His distant attitude frustrated Daniel, even more so when he realised Kit had no intention of visiting Daisy in hospital.
When he got back, Daniel learnt some upsetting news from a doctor.
He told Jenny that while on the operating table to fix her arm, Daisy started to experience bleeding. It’s now believed Daisy has potentially lost her baby, but they won’t know for certain until she has another scan tomorrow.
Not wanting to make her even more anxious, Daniel and Jenny agreed they wouldn’t tell Daisy just yet.
It would certainly be a tragic end to this journey for Daisy. Just what will the results of the scan be?
