Since his arrival on Coronation Street, Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) has spent most of his time flirting with sister-in-law Abi Webster (Sally Carman).

However, in upcoming scenes, the mechanic has his sights set on someone else.

Carl and Abi first bumped into each other – quite literally -in the supermarket carpark, and the chemistry between them was instant.

Things became more complicated when they discovered that they were actually siblings-in-law, with Carl’s brother being Abi’s husband, Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

Though they have tried to keep their distance, it is clear there is still a spark between them, which leads to jealousy in upcoming scenes.

When Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) decides to make Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) jealous, she wastes no time in flirting with Carl at the garage.

But when Carl later receives a text from Fiona asking to meet him, it is this that leaves Abi feeling jealous, as she assumes that she is his girlfriend.

When Fiona calls at the garage, Tracy overhears Carl making out that he is the boss, which leaves her intrigued – but what is Carl up to?

The next day, Abi spots Carl cosying up to Tracy, and is determined to sabotage any budding relationship between them.

As soon as Carl leaves, Abi sidles up to Tracy and warns her that he is a serial womaniser, and she’d be best steering clear.

It doesn’t take long for news of Abi’s warning to reach Carl, who is fuming that she would try and scupper his potential new relationship.

As he accuses her of fancying him, Abi denies it and threatens to tell husband Kevin everything if he doesn’t back off.

However, Carl is undeterred as he insists that it’s time for them to be honest and leans in for a kiss… How will Abi react?
