Coronation Street viewers are on tenterhooks as they speculate over Kit Green’s ulterior motives towards Daisy Midgeley.
The recent dramatic developments in the beloved ITV soap saw Kit come across CCTV footage showing Daisy behind the wheel of the stolen car belonging to Debbie Webster. Confronted by Kit, Daisy pleaded for mercy, claiming her actions were merely a vengeful strike against Debbie and begged the copper to destroy the surveillance clip.
Fans of the show will remember Daisy stepping in to shield her former flame, Daniel Osbourne, from repercussions after he nabbed and crashed Debbie’s new motor. In an attempt to safeguard Daniel, Daisy vowed to sort the situation and endeavoured to remove any incriminating evidence.
In her haste to dispose of the vehicle, Daisy accidentally injured Shona Platt, who, luckily, survived the crash but was left nursing a broken arm.
Post-admission, Daisy implored Kit to erase the CCTV evidence, which conveyed her at the crime scene. Kit complied, venturing to the station and concealing the fact from his colleagues that any footage existed, reports Lancs Live.
The web of deceit began to unravel further when PC Craig Tinker announced the recovery of Debbie’s car, followed by Shona lodging a statement at the police station about her accident involving a car that matched Debbie’s.
Kit’s wrath was ignited upon being informed of these updates, ultimately cornering Daisy and stating: “Luckily for you, not me, I’ve already deleted the CCTV when Shona pitched up at the station!”
Despite the chaos, love bloomed once more as Daisy decided to draw closer to Daniel after his split from Bethany Platt. The pair shared an intense romantic moment, reawakening their prior affection.
While Daisy seemed smitten, Daniel was torn, leading to a row which he rekindled his relationship with Bethany.
In the latest instalment from Friday, Daisy found out about the renewed romance between Bethany and Daniel, unable to conceal her dismay, an observant Glenda Shuttleworth spotted her reaction.

Feeling spurned, Daisy promptly turned her attention to Kit, enticing him over for a beverage. However, their ensuing kiss was stumbled upon by Glenda.
The meddlesome Glenda couldn’t resist divulging that Daniel was en route to the pub to meet Bethany. Kit caught on quickly, commenting: “Daniel Osbourne then? Ah, nailed it. Kit you’re good.
“See, I wasn’t sure if you were seducing me because you had another crime to confess to or you were just bored. But it’s Daniel, isn’t it? You see, if him and Bethany are getting on well… there must have been a doubt..”
Daisy, however, brushed aside Kits suspicions and drew him into yet another passionate embrace. Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers think Kit might uncover the full truth about what happened with Debbie’s car and Daisy’s encounter with Daniel, which could lead him to blackmailing her.
Soap watchers will recall that dodgy police officer Kit is known for blackmailing on the cobbles after he drove fan favourite, Beth Tinker, out of Weatherfield.
One person said: “Kit has deleted the CCTV – Daisy got lucky there #Corrie” to which another replied: “Until Kit feels like Daisy owes him after deleting it #Corrie.” Elsewhere, another viewer put: “He will blackmail her to keep his trap shut #Corrie” while a different soap watcher added: “Kit’s, the kind o’ guy that’d use this ‘Daisy, CCTV’ thingy to… blackmail her ‘n that… #Corrie.”
