Coronation Street exit ‘sealed’ for star after 13 years as fans fear ‘sudden death’
Coronation Street fans are certain one star of the ITV soap will soon be leaving the cobbles for good after a dark suicide twist – after Liam Connor’s battle with the same
Coronation Street fans are sure one young star is set to exit the ITV cobbles for good after 13 years in a “sudden death” twist.
Liam McCheyne has played Sean Tully’s son Dylan Wilson since 2011, and has recently been caught up in a tragic bullying storyline involving nasty Mason Radcliffe and Liam Connor, who was driven to the brink of suicide by their torment at school and online.
But after Dylan was discovered by cops with a knife in his possession and arrested, fans think he could be in for a shocking death twist. He was questioned by police and later released – but lawyer DeeDee informed him the prosecution was building a case against him.
Now fans on social media have been speculating what could happen to the teenager if he does end up in prison, with pressure mounting from Mason to protect him. One X user penned: “Don’t worry fans, he’ll have died suddenly in a police cell through no fault of the police whatsoever and no mention of his newly discovered myocarditis!”
Others went on to hint that Dylan could follow in Liam’s footsteps when it comes to coping with time in prison, with one social media user writing: “Dylan’s gonna end up doing something stupid in police custody and he’ll end up dead… then there’ll finally be blood on Mason’s hands.”
Somebody else said: “In real life of course someone would have to die before the police got involved. Pure fiction.” And another echoed: “Excellent storyline and a long way to go, I have seen this many times. Dylan has fallen for the old peer pressure and got sucked into it being coerced by Mason. He has still done wrong but I think Dylan is about to become the bullied as well.”
In real life, Mason actor Luca Toolan gets along well with his fellow cast-members, and he was recently forced to issue a statement about his “gorgeous” eyelashes after uproar from fans. Some were sure he was wearing mascara – and Luca showed a clip of himself in the make-up chair.
He explained: “Let me go down to hair and make-up where we’re not applying any mascara to my eyelashes.” Luca then quipped: “Thank you!” before laughing.
He’s also been recognised in some pretty embarrassing places, confessing to Daily Star: “Oh yeah, all the time! I was in the gym and, I don’t know if this is TMI but, obviously I’m getting changed to go in the sauna and you have to take your pants off.
“And I was there, butt naked, and I hear someone say, ‘Oi Mason’. And he’s like, ‘Oh you’re a baddun’ and I’m just sat there like [stunned]. But I think it’s all tongue in cheek, like people aren’t stupid. I think there’s a small minority of people that get invested so much that they can’t separate it from me.”
