Coronation Street bosses have now shared with fans the secrets of how the scene was staged in a rare behind-the-scenes clip which they posted on social media.

The hit-and-run happened after Adam, played by Scotsman Sam Robertson, went up against villain Harvey, played by Will Mellor.

Adam had agreed to help get the criminal out of prison on appeal but dropped the case at the last minute, leaving Harvey raging with anger and ready to take revenge.

Not long afterwards, the thug sent one of his henchmen to target Adams’s wife, Sarah Barlow, but the attack didn’t go as planned.

Some tense scenes spilled onto the street, and a car barrelled down the road, aiming at Adam.

After pushing Bethany and Sarah out of the way, Adam was hit by the car and was left with severe injuries as the driver sped away.

As Adam is receiving treatment in the hospital, Corrie bosses have decided to share the never-before-seen clip with fans revealing how the scenes were shot.

In the slow-motion clip, Adam’s stunt double Kimball Thomas-Hird runs towards the car before jumping and taking a tumble along the vehicle’s roof and then falling to the ground.

Snapshots of the hit-and-run taking place were also posted in the video, making for some great action shots.

ITV took to the caption, writing: “Ever wondered how we do a stunt scene? Check out this behind-the-scenes of Adam’s hit-and-run from tonight’s Corrie.”

Taking to X(formerly Twitter), fans of the show were quick to comment on the behind-the-scenes clip as one user asked: “Why did he run towards the car instead of out of the way?”

Another added: “Never mind 20mph speed limits, Corrie’s need to be 5 – too many car crashes!”

“Why is no-one helping in the street, sign of the times I suppose, people don’t want to get involved,” a third fan wrote.

A fourth expressed: “Still don’t get how a car going THAT slowly could knock anyone down lol, it wasn’t even speeding!

“They would all have had plenty of time to get away normally without Adam dramatically pushing the girls out of the way and then not even moving away himself ha and assuming it was one of.”

Someone else brutally penned: “That scene was pretty pathetic, to be honest.

“The way they were describing how fast the car was going when, in the clip, it looked about five mph.”

Elsewhere on Corrie, fans spotted a ‘mind-blowing’ crossover in the background of a Rhona Goskirk scene.
