Coronation Street fans predict soap icon ‘kidnapped’ missing Lauren in horror twist
Corrie’s Lauren Bolton has gone missing from the cobbles - and now fans reckon she's been kidnapped by none other than soap icon Roy Cropper in what would be a huge twist
Coronation Street fans reckon Lauren Bolton has been kidnapped by someone on the famous street – in a huge twist.
The character, played by Cait Fitton, has been causing trouble on the cobbles ever since she arrived in November last year. And over on the soap at the moment, things have taken a dramatic dramatic turn.
There has been a ton of mystery recently surrounding Lauren and her ‘boyfriend.’ In recent months she has hidden away her so-called beau who has been helping her out financially until she cut him off last month.

Things took an even more worrying turn when it was revealed that Lauren had bruises on her and that her ‘boyfriend’ was very dangerous. Lauren has also signed back up to O-Vidz in a bid to make some quick cash.
And in the soap last week, Lauren found herself getting sacked after she was caught rummaging through Bethany Platt’s bag. However, she then abruptly disappeared from the scene.
Keen to see how she was doing, her pal Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) headed to her flat but found it was unlocked. He headed inside but it was empty and Lauren was nowhere to be seen.
And during Monday’s episode (February 26) Bobby was determined to find out where Lauren had gone. He paid a visit to Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) at the police station where the copper promised to investigate.
But fans of the long-running soap are certain that she has been kidnapped. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “I truly think Lauren got kidnapped.” Someone else added: “so who’s kidnapped Lauren.”
And in what would be a huge twist, some viewers reckon Roy Cropper (David Neilson) could have something to do with it. Fans will recall how Roy took Lauren on and offered her a job when she was struggling to get on her feet.
But after he caught her looking through Bethany’s bag, he sacked her from the cafe. Now, one theory of Lauren’s whereabouts involves none other than Roy.
On X, a fan mused how upcoming scenes will show soap icon Roy appearing at court – and they think this has something to do with Lauren. The viewer penned: “Roy is meant to be in court soon according to recent filming. I wonder if this has anything to do with Lauren?”
A second person replied: “What I’ve been thinking.” A third fan chimed in and mused: “What if Roy has taken Lauren [eyes emoji].” Another wrote: “I think Roy will get accused of Lauren’s disappearance as he was the last person to see her ….”
