Coronation Street fans sickened as gruesome twosome flirt over their criminal ways
CORONATION Street fans are feeling quite unwell after two of the show’s most evil characters began flirting together.
The ITV soap has revealed blackmailing manipulator Betsy Swain as a new love interest for knife-toting bullying thug Mason – and it’s not gone over well.
Viewers know Betsy has blackmailed Carla Connor and is currently blackmailing Joel Deering, while Mason bullied Liam Connor to the point where he wanted to end his own life.
But tonight the pair came together after Besty clashed with Joel again.
After threatening Lauren and leaving her petrified, Joel went back to the cobbles and met up with Dee-Dee.
But their little reunion was cut short by betsy interrupting demanding to know why Joel was ignoring her.
Dee-Dee said it was her fault and, assuming Betsy was his client, left them to it.
But as she walked away, Betsy asked Joel: “Do you think she’d still want to get married if she knew you liked picking young girls up outside of police stations?”
He told her: “Do you know what? I’m getting really sick and tired of you.”
But she hit back: “Why’s that? Is it because I know what you are? A dirty little perve…
“ A thousand quid, and I’ll keep my mouth shut.”
Joel agreed, but told her to follow him so he could hand over the cash – and she did, stupidly.
He led her to a deserted back alley where he warned her that he wouldn’t be giving her any money.
Instead, he told her that he knew who her mum is and then when she tried to go, he grabbed her, reducing her to tears and she ran off after failing to punch him.
But she soon composed herself and ran to Speed Daal where she ran into Mason again.
With him working there, he decided to take his break with her and the gruesome twosome bonded over their shared criminal enterprises.
The scenes of them flirting left fans feeling quite unwell.
