Coronation Street fans have predicted a shock death on the cobbles in a major Carla Connor twist

Carla (Alison King) made her debut on the ITV soap back in 2006. As the strong-willed Underworld owner, Carla has become a soap legend.

She has also been involved in several big storylines over the years. From steamy affairs to battling alcoholism, her time on the famous street has not been short of drama.

Especially at the moment, as things have been going from strength to strength recently for Carla and girlfriend Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

A Carla and Lisa wedding could be happening

Last month, the couple, along with Lisa’s daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin), moved into No.6 on the street, ready for a brand new chapter. And this is weak, Carla revealed her plans to pop the question.

In Friday’s episode (August 15), Carla planned everything to a tee, and asked Glenda (Jodie Prenger) to slip the engagement ring into a glass of champagne when she arrived.

But after Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) started discussing her own wedding plans, Lisa revealed that her late wife Becky had proposed to her via a ring in a champagne glass. Cringing, Carla then called off the engagement.

However, soap fans are still convinced that a wedding is going to go ahead. But in a devastating twist, they think Lisa will sadly die.

On a Corrie Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “If you have watched for years you will know that marriage doesn’t end well for Carla so do we think they could kill Lisa off in the wedding?”

Someone else added: “I would be so upset if they did! A third chimed in: “Something bad will probably happen you’re right.” Echoing their thoughts, someone else mused: “Yeah I thought that.”
