Coronation Street fans spot massive blunder as Carla Connor takes brutal revenge on Roy’s attackers
What should have been a gritty blackmail plot turned into something else entirely
CORONATION Street fans have spotted a massive blunder on last night’s episode.
Viewers of the ITV serial drama tuned in to see a vengeful Carla Connor (Alison King) on a complete rampage.
She was utterly relieved when she found out that her best friend Roy Cropper (David Neilson) had woken up after suffering a dramatic heart attack.
At first, she was distracted when Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) asked her for a summer job at the factory.
But when Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) alerted her to her fine craftsmanship, she went to the Weatherfield precinct to look for the adolescent.
However, she ran into the group of yobs that terrorised Roy over the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
In previous scenes, they surrounded the eccentric cafe owner and tormented him with abuse, arguably causing his heart attack.
When Carla was out looking for Betsy, she ran into the group, who once again were full of nasty bravado.
After a back-and-forth altercation full of insults, Carla decided to walk away and get back to her job of running Underworld.
As she got back into her plush Audi car and was out of their sights, the gang decided to disperse.
Carla watched on as some of the boys got on their bikes, before the ringleader rode in her direction.
Noticing an opportunity for revenge, she opened the car door just as the bike passed by the car.
Her actions sent the horrid lad flying into the air, before he suffered a nasty tumble on the road.
Carla let out a sarcastic sigh, before she slammed the door of the vehicle and drove off.
Although Betsy’s subsequent blackmail should have been the main focus, viewers were distracted by another factor.
As Carla drove back towards Coronation Street, her car seemed to be completely unscathed with no markings, despite the bike slamming into the door.
Fans of the long-running soap took to X – formerly known as Twitter – after they were left in hysterics following the apparent continuity blunder.
One fan stated: “Not even a scratch.”
“Not a single scratch on Carla’s car door,” noted a second user.
A third exclaimed: “Not a scratch on her car!!”, along with a crying with laughter face emoji.
And a fourth viewer sarcastically added: “And Just a little scratch.”
