Coronation Street Lauren’s ‘murderer exposed’ – and it’s neither Roy nor Daniel

Coronation Street's troubled youngster Lauren Bolton was confirmed dead on the ITV soap on Wednesday night, as police suggested she had been murdered after a violent assault

Coronation Street viewers were left on the edges of their seats as a murder mystery involving Lauren Bolton unfolded – but Roy Cropper and Daniel Osbourne may have nothing to do with it

Lauren has been missing for weeks and is feared dead by detectives investigating her disappearance. After finding signs of a violent attack in her flat, police believe Lauren may have been murdered there.

DS Swain shared in a radio interview that the hunt for Lauren continues, with a beloved Weatherfield character set to be arrested for her murder in an upcoming episode. But she also revealed all evidence suggests Lauren was tragically killed by an unknown person.

Forensic evidence from her flat matched up with a violent assault. While police are keeping an open mind about who or what caused Lauren’s disappearance, they’re eager to find out who’s responsible.

It’s now been revealed that detectives are treating her case as a potential murder investigation. Listeners of the radio broadcast, including Lauren’s loved ones, were shocked and saddened by the news.

Meanwhile, her tutor Daniel was rattled after being questioned by Swain. She suggested he was trading tutoring for sex after Max Turner claimed Daniel was Lauren’s secret boyfriend.

After bloodstains were discovered at Lauren’s flat just a day after Roy Cropper had tidied it up, Coronation Street fans were left baffled. Despite her disappearance weeks ago many believe neither Daniel or Roy has anything to do with it.

Taking to social media platform, X, one fan said: “Max is so obviously suspicious of Daniel, but for no reason, bc I don’t believe he did anything to Lauren! What reason wd he have?!”

Another said: “Corrie time the boring search of Lauren. Apparently max turns the blame on poor Daniel.”

While a third penned: “Usually DS Swain impresses me but her lack of common sense in the recent episode annoyed me. IF Roy was the one who hurt Lauren and went to clean up after attacking her, why would he fail to clean up the BLOOD? Surely he would have known it had splattered on the curtains.”

Sean Tully was considering renting the flat when he stumbled upon the blood on the fabric. Upon hearing this, Bobby Crawford rushed to the police station, prompting officers to start searching the flat.

A team of investigators thoroughly searched the apartment following the tip-off and found money hidden under a mattress. However, they were more alarmed when they found a significant amount of blood on the curtains.

DS Swain and officer Craig Tinker were shocked by their discovery and began to consider the possibility that Lauren may have been hurt or killed. Roy became a suspect after Swain learned about him cleaning the flat and offering Lauren a job and accommodation.
