But now a preview released by Corrie has shed more light on the plot, and what’s going on with David. In harrowing scenes it appears David hires a hit on himself, while it’s not clear if it is linked to the crash.

What is clear though is that David is convinced this is the day he will die, and that it will happen at a specific time in the day. Flashfowards feature throughout the clip too, showing an injured man, which appears to be David, in hospital and covered in blood.

Doctors are shown battling to save him as machines beep around him, while his fate is yet to be confirmed. The teaser starts with David declaring he will be dead by the end of the day, as he stares at a clock and counts the hours down.

He shares in an eerie voiceover: “We all know we’re gonna die. The only thing on Earth that knows this but somehow we pretend like it won’t actually happen to us. It will for me, today.

“I know I will die today, 2 o’clock, in five hours, no… that’ll be, hang on, seven hours. In seven hours I will be dead. Killed by a hitman, a hit I ordered last night. I just hope it’s quick and doesn’t hurt.
