Coronation Street Nick Tilsley affair ‘sealed’ as fans groan ‘it’s painfully obvious’
Coronation Street icons Nick and Leanne have been arguing more than usual lately, and fans think Nick might lose his heart to someone else – who has stolen Leanne’s man before
Coronation Street fans are expecting a torrid affair to break out between two Weatherfield legends – as they groan “it’s painfully obvious”.
Nick Tilsley has been arguing more and more with his partner Leanne Battersby since she got pulled into a cult called The Institute. After a row in the Bistro during Friday’s episode (April 26), fans have spotted Nick’s chemistry with someone close to Leanne, which could break her heart once again.
Nick has seemingly grown closer to Leanne’s sister Toyah Habeeb, who has already ended up in a relationship with her ex Peter Barlow – leaving Leanne heartbroken. Toyah confided in Nick this week that she lost her baby, Rose, and buried her in a nearby park.
On Wednesday (April 24), fans saw Nick and Toyah share a moment, leaning against each other and looking as though they were about to kiss before pulling away. But fans think more than a kiss could soon be on the cards, and took to social media in their droves to comment on the blossoming romance.
One said: “Leanne is always such an a***hole to Nick! I hope he does get with Toyah, serves her right!” Someone else fumed: “I really hope an affair isn’t coming for Nick and Toyah.” And a third fan said: “I’ll be missing tonight’s Corrie but I swear to god if Toyah and Nick even think about doing what I think they’re gonna do I will not be responsible for my actions.”
Later in the episode, Leanne abandoned Nick at work to do an ‘upload’ session with Rowan, forcing Toyah to step in on her day off. Sparks continued to fly between the pair – despite marriage being mentioned between Leanne and Nick.
Leanne broke down in tears with Rowan, confessing she felt like her son Oliver died “because of all the bad things she’s done in life”. Rowan guided her through breathing exercises – but fans know something dodgy is going on.
One suggested: “Perhaps that Rowan will blackmail Leanne with the info she ‘uploads’ to him.” Someone else agreed: “Rowan’s a fraud playing on vulnerabilities and Leanne’s been sucked in.”
A third penned: “Does creepy freak Rowan give personal visits at home to ‘download’ with all the women in his cult or just dopey deluded Leanne!” While a different X user said: “Rowan: tell me all your secrets. No-one is listening but I might blackmail you about them later.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Roy Cropper was denied bail once again – despite new evidence being presented to the court. A desolate Roy, who has been refusing to eat in prison, was handcuffed and returned to his cell, leaving his family devastated.
