Coronation Street Paul exit date ‘sealed’ as fans ‘rumble’ devastating Billy drugs twist

Paul Foreman is set to die in heartbreaking storyline following his battle with motor neurone disease and Coronation Street fans have predicted when he will say his final goodbye

Corrie fans are convinced they know exactly when Paul Foreman will pass away.

The fan-favourite learned he had just months to live in emotional scenes which aired last year. Viewers of the ITV soap watched him start to struggle with his grip and he eventually referred to a neurologist for tests and he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND).

His speech has slowly started deteriorating and he was recently told he could only eat pureed foods rather than solid ones, leaving him devastated as he tried to stay strong for his family.

As Paul’s heath deteriorates, fans have been speculating when his final scenes will air. Taking to Reddit, one fan penned: “Could be BGT finals time/ Super Soap Week.” Another added: “They’ll definitely kill him off BGT week. They can do more after watershed.”

However, another fan went on to suggest exactly what will happen to his partner Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) after Paul’s death, with some hinting the former addict could go back down a dark path. The social media user wrote: “I think Billy will pop his pills for his back, and then we will see Billy continue to use and abuse drugs after Paul’s passing to cope with the grief.”

Coronation Street usually airs at later slot when the Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals air across five consecutive days in May, usually in the half-term holidays. It has been confirmed that Paul will pass away and actor Peter Ash has previously opened up about his upcoming exit.

He said: “I was called into the producer’s office late last year, and he said we’ve got this very big storyline for you, which will be a great thing to do, but it will mean an eventual exit. I had mixed feelings obviously. I’ll be sad to leave the show.
