Coronation Street ‘rumble’ who Daisy called – and it’s not Christina
Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) was heard ringing someone to ask for help at the end of tonight’s Coronation Street. Although fans weren’t shown who it was, they think they’ve worked out who it is.
Tense scenes in Friday’s episode saw Bertie almost drown in Daisy’s step mother Jenny’s care. Daisy was left fuming, as she told Jenny she was unfit to care for children. She then mentioned Jenny’s late son Tom, who drowned in a paddling pool when he was four years old after being left unattended.
Jenny then blurted out that it was Daisy who was meant to have been watching him, and she’d always blamed her for her sons death. Jenny then cruelly made a comment in which she said she was glad Daisy lost her baby.
After saying goodnight to Bertie and Daniel, at the end of the episode, Daisy was seen picking up the phone. “Hello, it’s me,” she said. After saying she was alright, she continued: “Listen, I need your help with something.”
Now, fans have taken to X, formely known as Twitter, to place their bets on who they think is on the other line. Many think it may be her mum Christina – although some have other ideas. One wrote: “Daisy hiring a hitman to take care of Jenny?” while another penned: “Was Daisy calling a hitman at the end there, ‘cause I wouldn’t blame her #Corrie.”
To add to Daisy and Jenny’s rocky relationship, Daisy found out that Jenny had 60k that she hadn’t told her about.
It was revealed earlier this year, that Charlotte Jordan who plays Daisy will be exiting her role later this year. Charlotte joined the cast of the soap in 2020, but has announced that after four years she has decided to “explore other opportunities.”
Charlotte said: “My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish. After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.”
Daisy had taken part in many huge storylines during her time on the cobbles, including a blackmail plot. She was stalked by Justin Rutherford, which culminated in Daisy and Ryan being the victims of an acid attack.
Both the Katie Piper Foundation and Acid Survivors Trust International supported the production team when the scenes were filmed, and provided information on the long term impact of an acid attack.
