Coronation Street ‘rumble’ who killed Joel Deering – and it’s not Lauren or Dee-Dee
Coronation Street fans can expect another dramatic week in Weatherfield as the disappearance of Joel Deering sparks a murder investigation but fans think they know who killed him
Coronation Street fans are in for a murder mystery twist next week centred around Joel Deering.
Next week’s spoilers reveal a massive whodunnit involving Joel, portrayed by Calum Lill, following the disappearance of the wicked solicitor. At the beginning of the week, PC Craig Tinker, played by Colson Smith, and Kit Green, enacted by Jacob Roberts, scrutinise CCTV footage from a train station car park, spotting Joel and his father Gus, played by Chris Garner, near a locker.
Later on, Kit interrogates Gus, demanding answers about his missing son’s location. However, as the week progresses, things dramatically escalate when it’s unveiled that Joel has been killed by two blows to the head, likely inflicted by a heavy object such as a crowbar, turning many of Weatherfield’s residents into potential suspects in this new whodunnit.
In the forthcoming scenes, numerous residents are questioned about their last encounters with Joel and their locations at the time – but who is hiding something?, reports the Liverpool Echo.
With the cause of death revealed to be two blows to the head from a heavy weapon, believed to be a crowbar.
So when Mason Radcliffe, one of the residents, is seen with this exact item, could it indicate guilt or mere coincidence?
Meanwhile, Ed and Ronnie Bailey, two other residents, find themselves in a tight spot when their car satnav indicates they were in the vicinity of Joel’s home around the time he was presumably murdered.
Despite a heap of suspects like Mason, Joel’s ex Dee-Dee Bailey’s clan or even DS Lisa Swain after last week’s iffy scenes had everyone on edge, Corrie fans are now betting their bingo winnings it ain’t any of that lot.
Corrie addicts have been chattering away on Twitter, throwing around guesses about who’s behind the dirty deed. They’re pinning their suspicions on none other than DS Swains own sprog, Betsy, since messages between her and Joel surfaced, looking well dodgy before he copped it.
One sleuth tweeted: “”I wasn’t scared of him” Betsy have ya killed him? #Corrie”, another deduced: “I don’t think Swain would kill Joel. I am going down a different path and saying Betsy as hurt her #Corrie”, while a clued-in viewer questioned: “I’m wondering if Betsy has anything to do with it?”
