Coronation Street ‘seals’ Roy Cropper’s fate as another much-loved favourite is held captive in new spoiler videos
Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) life behind bars is set to get much worse in Coronation Street next week and I’ve got a first look at the trauma to come, with brand new spoiler videos.
The ITV soap has shocked the nation by sending much-loved Roy to prison for the murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), a crime which he absolutely did not commit.

A number of the Street’s finest have rallied around him in his hour of need while Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) has changed his statement, claiming to have seen a dastardly villain hanging around Lauren’s place, hoping this will clear Roy’s name.
But there’s more upset to come, with Roy putting two and two together and demanding a visit with Carla Connor (Alison King), as revealed in my new videos below.
What we also learn from the clips that Roy isn’t the only one who’s locked up against his will, with beloved dog Freddie being kidnapped by menacing internet sleuths, much to the horror of Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman).
Oh dear.

Monday April 22
Evelyn is upset to learn that Freddie, Roy’s beloved dog, has gone missing, informing Asha and Nina that they must locate him at once.
Things, however, take an extremely disturbing turn, with Nina discovering a post on social media put up by one of the sleuths, who confirms that he’s kidnapped Freddie.
Freddie is seen in a cage, with the sleuth making it clear that he won’t release the dog until Roy confesses to Lauren’s murder!
Wednesday April 24
Todd manages to open George’s newly-edited will, desperate to know what he’s been left. Eileen catches him doing so and berates him as Todd reveals that George has left him the business.
Friday April 25
Roy fights tears as he calls Carla from prison, urging her to come and visit him at once.
Carla knows something is up and asks him what the reason for the urgent visit is, with Roy revealing that he has suspicions about Bobby’s new statement.
Carla, knowing it’s only a matter of time before Roy gets to the truth, agrees to come see him at once, though it’s clear that she’s not quite sure how exactly she should broach this situation.
Will she come clean about Bobby’s false statement?
