Coronation Street sees sparks fly between two Weatherfield residents after shock attack
A ROMANTIC moment left two Weatherfield residents reeling in Coronation Street.
Carla Connor (Alison King) was nearly attacked in the Underworld factory in Monday’s episode of the ITV soap.
After attending court for GBH, Carla mouthed off to the victim’s dad Tom, the dad of the lad she knocked over.
But she soon regretted it after he later turned up at the factory when everyone else had gone and Tom has followed her back from court.
He threatened Carla and forced his body onto her – until DS Lisa Swaine (Vicky Myers) barged in and ripped him off her.
After his arrest, a shaken Carla thanked Lisa and they later had a heart to heart over some glasses of wine in Carla’s apartment.
Carla opened up about spiralling after she received divorce papers from her ex husband Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).
But Lisa reassured her that she still has a lot going for her.
When Carla asked Lisa about her past relationships, Lisa said she is focused on her career and her daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin).
She criticised herself for falling for people too quickly, which made Carla rush to defend and compliment her.
When they embraced, sparks flew and the pair shared a tender moment as they almost kissed.
An overwhelmed Lisa rushed off, leaving Carla reeling and confused.
Will they confess their feelings for each other?
Meanwhile, Lisa made an unsettling discovery after DI Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) uncovered sent text messages from Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) laptop.
She was left horrified after reading threatening texts from Joel that he was going to kill her daughter Betsy.
And Betsy failed to mention these texts to her mum.
Later, Lisa’s boss told her that she can no longer work on Joel’s case as she had become too involved and it will cloud her judgement.
She protested that no one else knows the details and the depths of the case more than her, but that couldn’t stop Kit for stepping in instead.
Can Kit get to the bottom of Joel’s disappearance? And can Lisa stay away?
