Coronation Street spoilers: Bitter Amy takes revenge on Tracy as she tries to force Tommy into her life

Tommy arrives at the bistro during Tracy's lunch with Amy in Coronation Street

Coronation Street’s Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) is to take matters into her own hands next week as her mum Tracy’s (Kate Ford) fling with Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) continues.

Amy was devastated to find out that her mum had been unfaithful, betraying husband Steve (Simon Gregson) for months in a steamy affair with his footballing hero Orpington.

The adulterers first met on Christmas Day and before long Tracy had employed him to decorate her bedroom and florists.

When neighbour Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) ascended a ladder outside of No. 1 and caught them in the act, he couldn’t see his best mate lied to any longer and came clean.

Poor Steve had tried in vain to reignite the spark in his marriage and even proposed he and Tracy renew their vows, but is now dealing with the consequences of his world crashing down around him.

When Ken (William Roache) found out about the ordeal, he ordered his daughter to pack her bags – allowing Steve to stay.

In upcoming scenes, Tracy tries to win her family around and invites Amy for lunch at the bistro.

On arrival, she’s mortified to see Tommy join them at the table and sets about to get her own revenge on them both by ordering the most expensive bottle of champagne.

Later in the day, hoping to cheer her dad up, Amy asks Steve if they’d like to have a movie night but he’s put out when Toyah (Georgia Taylor) accidentally tells him about how well Tommy and Amy seemed to click over lunch.

Will Amy be able to win her dad over again?
