Coronation Street spoilers – Carla Connor is given an intriguing proposition – but there’s a major setback

Away from the ongoing stress of trying to save Roy Cropper (David Neilson) from time behind bars in Coronation Street, Carla Connor (Alison King) is soon given an intriguing offer.

Following Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) exit in December, Carla hasn’t really had a moment of peace.

She has been busy running the factory, keeping an eye on nephew Bobby (Jack Carroll) and over the past few weeks, has desperately tried to support Roy, who was arrested after Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) went missing.

In upcoming episodes, as if she doesn’t have enough on her plate, Carla is approached by Gary (Mikey North), who has a proposition.

 

Prior to this, David (Jack P Shepherd) tells Maria (Samia Longchambon) that she needs to return to work soon, or Audrey (Sue Nicholls) will look at finding her replacement.

Maria has been off work ever since she learnt of Liam’s (Charlie Wrenshall) suicidal thoughts. Worried about what may happen if Liam is left on his own, Maria hasn’t let her son out of her sight for weeks.

After her chat with David, Maria tells Gary that she’ll lose her job if she doesn’t return soon, but doesn’t feel ready to leave Liam.

An idea forming, Gary approaches Carla and tells her that he’s thinking of selling the factory building and he’d like her to have first refusal.

It’s a massive offer, but Carla admits there’s absolutely no way she can afford it.

But with Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) and Daisy’s (Charlotte Jordan) secret over Stephen’s (Todd Boyce) money set to be revealed, could Carla get her hands on some cash after all?
