Coronation Street spoilers: Carla Connor is horrified by revelation from Ryan – and she’s not the only one stunned

Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) is set to return to Coronation Street in upcoming scenes, bringing plenty of drama with him.

Ryan left Weatherfield to pursue a life in Glasgow with girlfriend Crystal following a tough year which saw him fall victim to an acid attack and become addicted to steroids.

When his love affair with Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) ended in disaster, Ryan left the cobbles, and a heartbroken Daisy, behind.

However, it doesn’t take long for Daisy and Ryan to pick things up where they left off when he touches down in the Rovers once more…

Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) looks on disapprovingly as Daisy and Ryan passionately kiss, clearly not impressed by the turn of events.

Keen to restart his life with Daisy in Weatherfield, Ryan heads over to the factory to ask aunty Carla Connor (Alison King) for a job.

Unfortunately, she has no choice but to inform him that they are fully staffed, and he will have to try elsewhere.

Things only go downhill from there when Ryan tells Carla that he and Daisy are now an item, leaving her completely horrified.

Will she ever come round to the idea of Daisy and Ryan being a couple?

Daisy and Ryan’s relationship didn’t get the best reception from their neighbours in the first place, given that they were seeing each other behind Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) back.

Daisy and Ryan formed a close bond following their shared trauma of the acid attack, with Daisy eventually admitting to Jenny that she loved both Ryan and fiancé Daniel in different ways.

However, when Daniel found out what had been going on, he ended things with heartbroken Daisy, and very quickly moved on with ex-girlfriend Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), who recently returned to the street.

As Daisy and Ryan start fresh, is Daisy really over Daniel?
