Coronation Street spoilers: Daisy Midgeley rocked to the core as she makes huge discovery about killer Stephen Reid

Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) tried to distract herself in Monday’s (December 18) episode of Coronation Street after her and Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) relationship ended.

Daisy’s life with Daniel and little Bertie was thrown up in the air last week when she confessed to sleeping with Ryan (Ryan Prescott). Since the secrets and lies were exposed, Daisy has been staying with Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) at Rita’s (Barbara Knox) flat.

Tonight, Daisy decided to try and focus on building a new future without Daniel. She wanted to help Jenny with getting access to Stephen’s (Todd Boyce) journal, which Audrey (Sue Nicholls) had.

Recently, after taking a look on Stephen’s laptop, Jenny established that a password was needed to get access to an important folder.

She asked Audrey if she could take a look at the diary, but the beloved character was struggling to let go of Stephen and refused to part with it.

With seemingly nothing to lose, Daisy broke into the Platt household tonight, aware the family were in a meeting together at the Bistro.

While she searched for Stephen’s journal, Sam (Jude Riordan) was encouraging his family to say nice things about each other, in the hope of getting them to reunite.

However, when it was Audrey’s turn, she found it tough to address her family without Stephen being there and dashed off home.

When she arrived, Daisy was forced to hide upstairs.

Fortunately, Daisy made it out without being spotted but was confronted by Jenny, who said that even if she did get her hands on the money, it would technically belong to Carla.

That evening, Daisy borrowed Stephen’s laptop and searched through his stolen journal to try and find a password to the folder.

Daisy was successful in getting access and then, to her surprise, she came across the amount of money in the bank account – and it was a lot.

But what will Daisy do next?

Will she listen to Jenny and give the money to Carla, or use it to get the pub back?
