Coronation Street spoilers: Dee-Dee Bailey broken after relationship crashes and burns
There’s further upset for Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) in upcoming Coronation Street scenes as she comes face to face with boyfriend Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) wife Emily (Ellena Vincent).
Things were going so well for the couple after first meeting at the police station (how romantic) in September last year, with Joel supporting Dee-Dee through her dad’s gambling addiction and even spending Christmas Day with her family.
However, in true Corrie fashion, viewers had long suspected that Joel was hiding a secret – and they were right.
Recent scenes showed him meeting up with a client in the bistro, only to be interrupted by a furious woman who was demanding to talk to him.
It was later revealed, after Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) played super-sleuth, that the woman was in fact his wife Emily, and that they had a daughter together named Maisie.
The couple broke up when Emily was pregnant after Joel had an extra-marital affair.
When Alya showed Dee-Dee the footage of their confrontation in the bistro, Joel came clean and admitted everything, devastating his girlfriend who recently admitted that she loved him.
In upcoming scenes, Emily will approach Dee-Dee and explain that they had already separated prior to him meeting her.
She assures that he’s a good man and she shouldn’t throw their relationship away, but will Dee-Dee be able to forgive Joel for his betrayal?
Meanwhile, her work life isn’t any easier as she’s set to confront Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) over Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) appeal.
Adam has been working with Harvey, promising to get him released from prison for the murder of Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac).
If successful, Harvey has promised to rid his brother Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) from Adam’s life forever – therefore allowing him to reconcile with his wife Sarah (Tina O’Brien).
