Coronation Street spoilers: Exit drama confirmed for Carla with character forced to leave

Carla talks to DS Swain in the police station in Coronation Street

Carla Connor (Alison King) deals with the consequences of a recent risky action in Coronation Street next week.

When Roy Cropper (David Neilson) was wrongly imprisoned for Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) murder, Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) created a false statement for the police in the hope it would set Roy free – and Carla didn’t stop him.

After Roy learnt of Bobby and Carla’s plan, he told Carla they wouldn’t be friends anymore, unable to deal with the fact she told such a massive lie.

In upcoming episodes, this move continues to haunt Carla as she faces the wrath of a bunch of very angry Barlows.

Carla watches Bobby, who is being arrested by DS Swain in Corrie

After Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) lets slip to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) that Bobby stitched up Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) with a false statement and Carla went along with it, he wastes no time in holding a family meeting at the pub to reveal the development.

Later in the week, Ken Barlow (William Roache) gives Carla and Bobby short shrift and makes it clear he’s deeply unimpressed by their treatment of Daniel, which makes Carla feel terrible.

At the flat, a sheepish Bobby tells Carla it’s best if he moves out as he’s caused nothing but trouble.

Carla agrees, leaving a crestfallen Bobby with no choice but to head to his bedroom to pack up his things.

Will things ever be the same again between Carla and the Barlows after this?

And what’s next for Bobby if he doesn’t have anywhere to live?
