There could be love on the way for two unexpected characters. Soap fans will recall that Steve’s estranged wife Tracy Barlow appeared to exit the cobbles earlier this year as she was seen saying her goodbyes to her relatives including dad Ken Barlow and daughter Amy Barlow.

Since then, Steve has had a string of bad luck with dating. However, it appears Steve could be getting a new love interest after a very unlikely spark. Cassie calls round next week to care for Ken and Steve relishes in the fact of informing her that her first task is to cut Ken’s toenails. Cassie is forced to swallow her disgust as she gets on with the job. Later, Ken suggests they go out for a spot of lunch as he enjoys Cassie’s company.

Steve’s daughter Amy is amused at how much Cassie gets under her dad’s skin and it’s not long until she suggests to her father that there’s a spark between him and Cassie, claiming he’s in denial about his attraction to her. Steve firmly denies it and Amy hides her amusement. However, could Amy be onto something and could Cassie be Steve’s next love interest?

Abi Franklin’s deepfake culprit appears to be ‘exposed’ next week as another cobbles favourite faces prison. Only recently, someone has created deepfake porn videos of Abi using AI, and posted them online and on social media.

Next week’s episodes appear to expose the real culprit but have they got the right person? In upcoming scenes, Bethany Platt lands a new job at a fancy magazine but dreads her first article as it’s a feature in support of killer Corey Brent, who murdered Abi’s son Seb Franklin.

Feeling full of dread and guilt, Bethany calls at the garage to tell Abi the news, leaving the mechanic horrified. Later in the week, Abi does some digging and realises that Stefan Brent is a board director of the production company that made the documentary about Corey last month, he also owns the magazine that wants a feature in support of Corey and she jumps to the conclusion that he must have created the deep fake videos out of revenge. Stefan makes his return for the storyline, but is he to blame?
