Coronation Street spoilers for next week: Triple ‘exit’, affair ‘sealed’ and sad discovery

Coronation Street viewers can expect more dramatic scenes in the fallout to a killer week on the ITV soap.

Following on from the truth about Lauren Bolton’s disappearance finally being revealed, with viewers now knowing the culprit, there’s more twists and turns ahead. At least one character is leaving the soap for good next week, while it’s been teased three residents could be leaving the show.

There’s some big changes too with a new romance on the cards, a proposal and Bethany Platt learns some worrying news. She isn’t the only one, as Abi Franklin’s deepfake ordeal escalates and leads to some sad news.

Cassie Plummer is confronted, Toyah Battersby is arrested and residents turn against one character. Here’s the biggest moments happening next week on the soap…

Triple exit teased

Coronation Street could air two more exits next week off the back of the one confirmed departure for Simon Barlow. Simon will be heading away from Weatherfield next week on the ITV soap, after landing a job opportunity with his dad Peter Barlow. Actor Alex Bain is leaving the role after 16 years, with his exit confirmed.

Two characters could be leaving alongside Simon, with one character facing prison and another considering fleeing. After his arrest this week, Bobby is public enemy number one with some residents.

Elsewhere, Toyah Battersby is arrested at the end of next week over something from her past. It’s a serious charge she faces too, as she’s arrested on suspicion of murder amid a sad discovery – so will Bobby and Toyah be leaving the show?

Affair twist?

Leanne Battersby returns to the street next week after weeks away at a retreat with ‘the institute’. Rowan Cunliffe has reeled her in, with Leanne’s sister Toyah hoping to make her see and his venture is a scam.

But as Leanne refuses to believe she’s being targeted by Rowan, we see her exchanging mystery messages with an unknown person including her telling them she loves them. So is Leanne having an affair with Rowan or someone else?

Proposal and new romance

Coronation Street is lining up new scenes for Joel Deering next week, including a big twist on the ITV soap. Following him being exposed, there’s drama as his parents arrive, and Joel books a meal for them all so they can get to know his partner Dee-Dee Bailey.

She’s left nervous about the meeting, and Joel warns her they can be a bit stand-offish. He insists they will love her though, trying to reassure her. But things get awkward and Dee-Dee finds herself up against it, as Joel’s parents make their disapproval of her clear.

Things only get worse though when Dee-Dee’s father Ed pops by during the meal to introduce himself to Joel’s family. Joel’s mum leaves him and Dee-Dee upset though, as she shows her disdain for her son’s partner and her family.

Joel wastes no time in apologising for his mum’s behaviour, but he has a surprise up his sleeve too. With Dee-Dee upset over the meal, she is in disbelief when Joel suddenly drops to one knee and proposes.

But will she say yes, and what will his parents say? Meanwhile Dee-Dee’s brother could also be set for a romantic twist, as he and Glenda Shuttleworth share a kiss with a new relationship teased.
