Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) is set to make a big decision about her future in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, after a dramatic few weeks.

The solicitor recently discovered that boyfriend Joel Deering (Calum Lill) had been lying to her and was actually married with a daughter, much to her horror.

Devastated, Dee-Dee quickly ended things with him, ignoring Joel’s wife Emily’s (Ellena Vincent) insistence that things were over between them.

In upcoming scenes, things take another turn when Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) confides in Dee-Dee about Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) appeal, and how worried he is for son Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) should it be successful.

Hopeful that she will be able to help, she asks Nick for all the details of the case and promises to look into it for him.

Suspicious, Dee-Dee returns to the office and looks Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) straight in the eye as she asks if he is involved in Harvey’s appeal.

Next week, Dee-Dee continues to give Adam the cold shoulder, before dropping a huge bombshell.

She reveals that she is looking for somewhere else to live and should soon be out of his hair.

Is Dee-Dee’s fresh start set to see her go it alone, or could she be tempted back by Joel? Actor Calum Lill revealed that he hopes there is still a chance for them.

‘I hope so for him, because the thing I like about this, he’s done a wrong thing but I think, not the right reasons, he’s not meant to harm her, he’s just meant to have a good relationship with her.

‘He’s going to have to grovel and explain himself but what I like about it is it’s not black and white, it’s kind of grey and in the middle, and I hope what the audience enjoys is watching two young people trying to navigate quite a realistic relationship.
