Coronation Street spoilers – Hayley Cropper’s vile son returns to dish poison over Roy
Roy Cropper (David Neilson) gets another nasty surprise in Coronation Street soon as Christian, the son of Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh), returns to his life.
Christian was last seen in 2013. Biological son of Hayley, Christian was a generally a vile human being and reacted with horror and disgust when Hayley eventually revealed she was transgender.
In December 2013, after Hayley’s cancer diagnosis, Christian returned to the cobbles, but it quickly became apparent he was only there because he wanted something from Hayley.
He revealed he was in debt to the tune of £5000, and told a dying Hayley she could see his children – if he gets the cash.
Following Hayley’s death, it’s understandable Christian hasn’t been in Roy’s life, but that’s all set to change soon as he becomes one of the many people voicing his opinion about Roy – and Lauren Bolton’s disappearance – online.
In upcoming episodes, Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) finds Roy and reveals that Christian has been posting some hurtful things about him and Hayley online.
Roy barely has time to process this latest twist, as he then comes face to face with a lady in the café who introduces herself as Kerry, Lauren’s mum.
During the night, Kerry secretly films Roy’s living room and records commentary making him out to be a murderer.
As morning breaks, Nick (Ben Price) and Sam (Jude Riordan) pop by the café flat to see Roy. There, Nick explains to him that he has read the horrible online comments from Christian, and believes it would be best if Sam doesn’t spend time with him for a little while.
When Sam tells Roy that he’s his best friend forever, Kerry secretly takes note.
It then becomes apparent the lady in the café isn’t Lauren’s mum at all, she’s actually called Alice.
As Roy and Evelyn head out with Freddie the dog, they come face to face with Alice who starts filming them.
Just as Roy tries to stop her, she stumbles and bangs her head and after Alice accuses him of assault, it appears Roy has got himself into even more trouble.
