Coronation Street spoilers: Leanne declares love for someone behind Nick’s back – and it’s not Rowan
Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is hiding a massive secret when she returns from a retreat in Coronation Street soon.
Leanne left the cobbles a few weeks ago after cult leader Rowan (Emrhys Cooper) put forward the idea of her touring The Institute.
Toyah (Georgia Taylor) and Nick (Ben Price) are aware of the dangers surrounding the group Rowan leads, but Leanne has been manipulated into thinking it’s a self-help community.
In upcoming episodes, when Leanne returns from her apparent holiday, she explains her workshop overran so she decided to stay another night.
When Simon (Alex Bain) explains he’s leaving to join Peter (Chris Gascoyne) on his yacht, Leanne is furious that nobody bothered to tell her about it.
After waving her son off, Leanne returns home and chats to someone on her laptop. She says that Simon’s gone now, she feels completely alone, and wishes she could be with them.
In the week, Nick tries to make Leanne see that Toyah is trying to protect her from a corrupt organisation run by a madman.
Leanne refuses to listen and as Nick heads out, she opens her computer again, smiles at the person on the screen and says she loves them.
When Toyah catches Leanne confessing her love for the person on the screen, she reckons it’s Rowan, but Leanne denies it.
After being updated by Toyah, Nick races home, only to find Rowan and Leanne holding hands on the sofa.
