Max Turner (Paddy Bever) has thrown another name into the mix following Bobby Crawford’s (Jack Carroll) frenzied appeal to find missing teen Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) in Coronation Street.

Earlier this week, Bobby spoke with Weatherfield Gazette reporter Suki Waters (Laura Littlewood) about his hopes for her safe return, but the attention soon turned to innocent Roy Cropper (David Neilson) who shakily explained that he’d fired the girl from her position in his café days before she vanished – and was the last person to see her alive.

For months, Lauren had been tormented by an obsessive (and thus far, unknown) ex-boyfriend who was plaguing her with phone calls offering to pay her energy bills.

Instead, she turned to selling nude photographs of herself online through subscription site O-Vidz – something which she’d illegally partaken in last year before flatmate Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) reported her account.

Lauren, Max and Sabrina argue in Coronation Street

When friends Max and Sabrina Adetiba (Luana Santos) walked in on her partially clothed, she confessed her troubles which left them sick to the stomach.

In tonight’s (8th March) episode, Bobby found Roy cleaning up Lauren’s flat at the request of Evelyn, who had been subletting it to her.

He charged around to Underworld and told the knicker stitchers that he found the street stalwart’s actions ‘strange’ and branded him a ‘weirdo’.

With everyone jumping to Roy’s defence, Carla (Alison King) ordered him out of the factory and he met up with Max at No. 8.

Whilst the two discussed their theories over Lauren’s disappearance, Max brought up her close relationship with teacher Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who had been tutoring her whilst she resat her English exams.

The conversation then moved onto her O-Vidz account, which the boys subscribed to in the hope of finding some evidence.

Upon loading her profile, they discovered that she’d set up a new account on the day she went missing.

Could one of Lauren’s subscribers be responsible?
