There’s massive twists and turns on Coronation Street next week, in a series of explosive episodes that will be life-changing for more than one resident.

There could be a return on the cards, as someone is forced to make heartbreaking contact with a former resident. Three exits could also air, with all three characters in question definitely leaving the show at some point.

There’s also two new arrivals, with a first look at the cast playing them after months of said characters being mentioned. There’s a devastating revenge, that could spell the end of two other characters too awhile there’s also death fears for one fan favourite.

It’s safe to say next week’s trio of episodes are not to be missed. A special set of episodes see Kit Green and Mick Michaelis’ feud reach breaking point following their past being exposed.

Secrets unravel and lead to terrifying scenes, and soon enough more than one character is in grave danger. Things kick off when Craig Tinker is caught up in an incident that leaves him fighting for his life.

As his life hangs in the balance, shown bloodied and beaten, he’s rushed to hospital. His loved ones and pals pray for his recovery, and soon his former stepfather Kirk Sutherland is making an emotional phone call to Craig’s mum Beth Tinker.

Beth left the show last year after being blackmailed by Kit. But will she return to Weatherfield as her beloved son fights for his life? With Colson Smith who plays Craig leaving the role, it certainly doesn’t look good for the character – but will he pull through?

As for Kit, he drops a hint to enemy Mick that his wife Lou might not be as loyal as he thinks, after upcoming scenes hint Kit might be the biological father of Mick and Lou’s teen son Brody. It seems events take a violent turn when Lou is shown sporting a head wound with Mick now AWOL.

Mick, meanwhile, prepares to take matters into his own hands and issues a warning to Kit. Later in the week it seems Craig regains consciousness as spoilers reveal he tries to tell Lisa Swain and Asha Alahan what happened.

Lisa is shocked by the severity of her colleague’s injuries, but things take a turn for the worse when it’s revealed he has swelling on the brain, and just as he tries to detail the incident that left him injured he deteriorates.

News about the character soon sends shockwaves across the street, and Kirk makes the call to Beth. With residents turning to each other for support, has Craig died? The events leave Lisa emotionally opening up to girlfriend Carla Connor.

As she breaks down over what’s gone on, she’s encouraged not to put things off and grab happiness while they can. Carla comforts her partner as she processes what has gone on, but can she help Lisa in her time of need?

Elsewhere we finally meet Mick and Lou’s mystery daughters Shanice and Joanie. They have been cast and will debut on the ITV soap next week, leading to heartbreaking scenes.

When she tries to flee with her daughters before Mick returns, she’s thwarted by Tim Metcalfe who insists on taking her to A&E. When a nurse checks her over she realises she’s in an abusive relationship, but Lou refuses to discuss it and flees, leaving Tim with her daughters.

Later in the week the girls are still with Tim as Lou remains missing, but has something bad happened to her? Another person in possible danger is Kit’s girlfriend Sarah Platt, as Mick follows her into her flat and threatens her.

As she orders him to leave he refuses unless she summons Kit, declaring the detective has ruined his life. Vowing to kill him, he sets a plan in motion to trap him, leading to a further resident being kidnapped,

At a waste ground, Mick tries to use Bernie Winter as a bargaining chip to get her son Kit to show up. Kit does approach though and explosive scenes unfold, with Mick making his demands.

A terrified Bernie uses the moment to reveal she did try and see him all those years ago after all, but his adoptive mother was having none of it. With this new information, will Kit risk his life to save Bernie?
