Coronation Street spoilers: Roy Cropper under suspicion as he takes desperate action over Lauren Bolton’s disappearance

Bobby walks in on Roy cleaning up Lauren's flat in Coronation Street

As concern continues to grow following Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance in Coronation Street, focus turns to Roy Cropper (David Neilson) of all people as he’s spotted searching through her belongings.

In a recent instalment of the ITV soap, friend Bobby (Jack Carroll) paid a visit to Lauren’s flat, but found it completely empty. The radio was still on and there was a bacon sandwich on the side, suggesting the troubled character left in a hurry – but no-one knows where she went.

After making some enquiries with Craig (Colson Smith) at the station, Bobby will record an appeal with Suki from the Gazette in upcoming episodes.

Suki decides to interview Roy as well, but his appeal is underwhelming which leaves Bobby a little disappointed.

Later, Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) breaks the news to Roy that she’s had to let Lauren’s flat go due to the landlord discovering she’d been sub-letting it.

When Roy then discovers Evelyn is going to get charged due to the terrible state the flat has been left in, he decides to take responsibility for cleaning it up.

But when Bobby arrives and discovers Roy going through Lauren’s things, he’s left deeply suspicious.

At Number 8, as Bobby and Max (Paddy Bever) catch up, Max reveals that Lauren had two O-Vidz accounts and that Ryan (Ryan Prescott) reported her when she created the first one.

A new link discovered, Bobby tells Carla (Alison King) and Ryan that someone called DirtyNigel54 posted online that they’ve spotted Lauren, so he’s off to meet them to find out more.

But will the meeting prove helpful? And what about Roy? He is trying to do the right thing by cleaning up Lauren’s flat, but will that make him a person of interest if this spirals?
