Coronation Street spoilers: Tracy’s horror and Steve set for pain as Amy ‘discovers affair with Tommy’

Amy Barlow watches on as Tracy McDonald and Tommy Orpington have a heated conversation in the flower shop

Devastated Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) is to uncover her mum Tracy’s (Kate Ford) affair with Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) in Coronation Street next week.

Viewers have watched recent episodes in horror as scheming Tracy has jumped into bed with husband Steve McDonald’s (Simon Gregson) footballing hero Tommy whilst he holidayed in France.

Employing retired Weatherfield County baller Orpington to decorate their bedroom, Steve was overjoyed to be in the presence of his favourite player but when daughter Emma (Alexandra Mardell) announced she was visiting Europe from Australia, he couldn’t resist the opportunity to join her.

Relishing in Steve’s absence, Tracy quickly began flirting with Tommy, citing that the spark in her marriage was long gone.

On his return from France, Steve almost caught his cheating wife in the act as she cosied up to her bit on the side in the flower shop – but believing that Tommy was there to settle the decorating bill, he then asked him to set to work decorating Preston’s Petals… and for some marriage advice, unaware that he was the root of all of his problems.

Next week, with Tommy still lurking around the McDonalds, Amy admires the thoughtful Valentine’s Card that her dad has bought her mum, but to much sadness Steve reveals that the gesture was not reciprocated.

Getting to work on the shop, Tommy stresses in no uncertain terms that his fling with florist Tracy is over as he feels guilty for what he’s done to her doting husband.

Attempting to appear unbothered, Amy walks in on their conversation and demands to know what’s going on. But will they be able to palm her off with the excuses they gave Steve, or will she see the bigger picture?
