Coronation Street spot major mistake in Kit Green’s notes amid Joel’s murder
Coronation Street fans couldn’t help but notice an error during Wednesday’s episode.
Kit Green made an awkward mistake as he continued his investigation into Joel Deering’s murder. While making notes on a pad and checking something on his laptop, he still focused on Joel’s ex Dee-Dee Bailey.
She sparked suspicions she was involved recently, as a flashback saw her with the possible murder weapon. With her continuing to act out of character, Kit couldn’t help but wonder what she might be hiding.
It wasn’t just her he was curious to know more about though, with him previously seen questioning Dee-Dee’s father Ed and uncle Ronnie. As Kit continued his investigation on Wednesday, he was jotting things linked to Dee-Dee down on a piece of paper.
Writing her full name at the top of the page, questions he needed to answer included her whereabouts the night Joel died, and if she was with anyone. Kit also tried to figure out Ed’s alibi, and was making a note to check something.
But as he made a note about Dee-Dee’s brother Michael Bailey, he made a mistake which was picked up by fans. Kit spelled Michael’s name wring, spelling it ‘Micheal’ instead of how he spells it.

While this obviously doesn’t impact the case, some viewers couldn’t help but notice and mocked the error. One viewer said: “Kit had spelled Michael Bailey’s name incorrectly on that list.”
Another viewer said: “Always thought Kit was a wrong ‘Un, but now it turns out he’s one of those people who can’t spell Michael properly. Well that just seals it.” A third fan jokingly replied: “They did that on purpose to annoy you as they knew you’d be screenshotting it.”
Someone else called it “rude”, as other fans wondered why Kit waited weeks to start jotting down about the possible suspects. Some viewers might think it was deliberate, or that it might see Kit exposed for something further down the line like a Line of Duty twist.
Could it hint at something happening with Michael? Unlikely, but Kit and actor Jacob Roberts were clearly not corrected with the spelling while filming or in the edit.
Then again he has bigger problems to deal with, now he’s been assigned the murder case. Joel had gone missing last month and then his body was found weeks after he was last seen. So far confirmed suspects include Dee-Dee, Ed, Ronnie and Mason Radcliffe.
