Coronation Street star Cait Fitton hints she’s left soap after Lauren news

Is Lauren really dead?

Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Roy in danger

Coronation Street star Cait Fitton has hinted that her character Lauren Bolton has left the soap, in a cryptic social media detail.

The show is currently airing a huge storyline surrounding Lauren’s disappearance, after she suddenly went missing last month, with no clues as to where she might have gone.

Bobby Crawford visited her flat to find it unlocked, with an uneaten sandwich left on the counter, which suggested she hadn’t left of her own accord, plus the police later found traces of blood on her curtains.

In Wednesday’s episode (March 13), DS Swain confirmed in an interview that the police suspect that Lauren was killed, with her disappearance now being treated as a murder investigation.

Now, Fitton may have confirmed that the police are right about Lauren’s ‘death’, with social media detectives spotting that her Instagram bio now reads, “Previously Lauren in @coronationstreet” – suggesting that her time in the soap has come to an end.

It’s difficult to tell whether this is confirmation of Lauren’s tragic fate, or if Fitton is teasing fans and Lauren might return to the show in a shock twist.

Meanwhile, the current talk amongst both Weatherfield residents and Corrie viewers surrounds what has happened to Lauren and who might be involved – including her mystery boyfriend.

Daniel Osbourne is currently a potential suspect with the police, after Max Turner told DS Swain about his tutoring sessions with Lauren as well as his history with women – including Summer Spellman and Nicky Wheatley.

But it is Lauren’s former boss Roy Cropper who is set to become the main suspect in the case, after Bobby caught him cleaning her flat and became suspicious of his intentions.

In tonight’s episode (March 15), the café owner will be arrested on suspicion of murder and taken in for questioning by police, to the shock of his family and friends.

Roy will also become a victim of trial-by-social-media when internet sleuths and vigilantes become interested in the case and begin to target him for his alleged involvement.
